1: I used a masonite panel and went to Rossum and cut it into four even rectangles, but I only used three of them. For each one of the masonite panel I did a different idea. On one of them I did flowers, the other I did campfire, and for the last one I did kayaking and fish. The Flower canvas has a bunch of different flowers, with green and newspaper background. The Campfire one has a pink & purple sunset with music over it with a campfire in the center. Finally for the Last canvas there is pictures of me fishing, kayaking, and fish stickers, layered onto the top of a blue bubble background.
2: -For the flower canvas I first did a layer of newspapers for the main background. Afterwards I didn't like how plain it looked with just the newspaper, so then in took a bunch of different varieties of green tissue paper, and rolled them into balls. I then laid The green colored tissue balls and layered it onto my newspaper. I then cut out my flowers with an exacto knife and hot glued them onto the canvas. - My campfire canvas I started by priming my canvas, then mixed my colors till I liked how they looked. I then Painted them onto my canvas from darkest to lightest and blended them together to make a sunset. I them found one of my go to songs to listen to in the summer. Whiskey glasses by Morgan Wallen and printed out the song lyrics with notes. I cut out two even sections of the song and placed it over my sunset background. I then ripped different fire colors of tissue paper, with kylas help and glued them onto my canvas for the flames. After I finished that I found different shades of black and grey tissue paper and rolled them into ball shapes and glues them around the bottom of the fire for the fire ring pit. -My fishing & kayaking canvas I primed it then made a blue color i likes and painted it on, While canvas was still damp from the paint I mixed white paint, dawn dish soap, and a little bit of water in a container and blew into with a straw to make bubble. I then let the bubbles flow over the top and into the canvas to back a blue bubble background. I did a coat of modge podge over it them cut out pictures of me fishing & kayaking and modge podge them onto it. It still looked plain so I used some of kylas fish stickers, and printed my fish I had made previously on the soft cut boards. For the finish touches I did a layer of modge podge so everything would stay. 3: In my three canvases I am expressing some of my many likes. I love fishing, kayaking, flowers, music, sunsets, and campfires. These are my main interests that I am expressing that not many people might know of. 4: My goals for this artwork was to find a way to express myself, by my interests and likes onto a canvas/paper and to make it interesting. 5: My overall thoughts on this artwork is that I love how everything flowed together and tied in. I really like how my flower and blue bubble canvas turned out. If I had to change something that I don't really like is my music that was in my background, I wish I would have made them transparent so it wouldn't have looked so blotchy. For my artwork I've been using Development of craft currently. I have to keep testing the materials in my sketchbook till I like how it looks, then I start on my canvas. As I am working I make changes and just going with the flow till I get my canvas to look how I want it to. Another studio habit I'm using is Express. With this studio habit I am express myself, and the quiet side of me. I also am expressing what my interests are and making an artwork out of it. So far I am proud of how my canvases are coming together, and flow together. I'm still working on how I can add more layers, and college more to add more to the canvas.
For my final artwork, I am planning on making different collages of my favorite things. I will start with making a background then layer it continually up till I like how it looks. I will then add more images on top and keep layering. For my collage of my flowers after layering it I will add paint and mix it together. For my fishing and kayaking collage I will continue to layer and for the background I am making bubble and putting them onto the background for the look of bubbles. For my third canvas I am doing a sunset with transparent music over it which I will build up a fire on top then a fire ring around it. I got my inspiration my some of Frank Big Bears Collages, and a lot of trial and error.
I'm using Development of Craft: I am using this studio habit in my artwork because, for my backgrounds I am trying something new and working with bubble, which takes a lot of trial and error to get it how I like. I'm Using Stretch & Explore: I keep trying and seeing how the best way to put things together are. 1 & 2: There is a layer of newspaper in the background with powerful "quotes" layered on top of the newspaper. The background is black and white. There is two sets of words on in the top left corner and one in the bottom right corner, which are blue. In the middle there is a blue eye that is crying which I tore and shaded the outside of it blue to stand out. The background is black and blue and the eye and words are bright blue to stand out from the background.

-Hannah Hoch: She uses magazines, and photomontage to express the truth of what she sees. She makes her art of of past events and the female role with society, gender relationships, and beauty. She also combines the men and female into one being to show female are just as equal as men. |
1- There is a Galaxy background of blues, purples, and black with white specks all over it for the stars. In the middle of the galaxy there is a big circle with a red n' pink colored scheme. From this circle there is water ripples that flow out of the circle to the bottom of the canvas. There a ship in the center of the circle with birds around it.
2- I created this artwork by practicing the details, and how the colors blend together. After a few tried and rough drafts in my sketch book i finally figure out how i would do. I did layers on top of layer till I liked how it looked. Then did the center circle and blended the colors together. I used graphite to transfer my ship into the center and colored it in after the transfer.
3- The idea behind my artwork was to make it look like a "magic" hole where it looks like the ship is going through the center circle, going out of the galaxy back to the "real" world.
4- My goals for this artwork was to get a good view and learn how to blend the colors together to not make it look blotchy. I wanted to make in look like an artwork and not like a 5 year old did it.
5- My overall thoughts on this artwork are that I liked how it turned out but I feel like if I had more time to do it, I could have made it look even better and added more details into it.
